Coffee Hit

/design intent “Bring a West Australian vernacular to an Eastern States authentic coffee house brand.”

We worked with our client to bring a West Australian context to this Eastern States coffee brand/franchise. The first Coffee Hit to emerge in WA, it’s an authentic coffee experience within a shopping centre.

The solution required the staging of their onsite roasting house in full view to passers-by, concealing the back-of-house and creating an engaging open-sided tenancy – all over 110sqm.

The result utilised traditional panelling, modular glass inserts and a savvy lighting schedule to bring an almost nostalgic coffee-house feel, while also framing and blurring the lines between the tenancy and common areas. A sense of energy was injected through the graphic tiles, fresh hues and furniture selections, which also reflects the carefree nature of the local lifestyle.
